DESCRIPTION:Over the next 5 years\, Wirral will host many significant development and construction projects. From large scale housing schemes\, waterfront redevelopment\, land remediation and infrastructure\, through to commercial business investment and expansion. \nThe scale of the opportunity from these public and private sector projects in Wirral is substantial and we are keen to ensure that as much of the benefit of this investment as possible is secured for local businesses and residents – building on Wirral’s commercial competence and capacity both now and for the future. \nTo make this happen\, Wirral Chamber has been working with Wirral Council and leading businesses and organisations in the industry\, to establish a new collaborative network for all businesses in the sector. Our aim is to work alongside local businesses in the industry supply chain to fully understand the challenges\, barriers and opportunities for maximising the benefits of development in Wirral for local businesses and residents – and to collectively develop a plan to win more business locally. We have called this network Build Wirral. \nTogether\, we will launch Build Wirral on Wednesday 1 October from 9.30am to 12.00pm at The Hythe on Wirral Waters.  We would like to extend an invitation you to join us for this launch. \nThe launch will include presentations on Wirral’s Development pipeline and the changes to procurement practices affecting all businesses.
